In the second round, a Thai green curry, Jonathan strikes out by naming butter. Butter! In a Thai curry! He wonders why he didn't say ginger instead when he had ginger stuck in his teeth from the sauce. In the third round, Susur loses to Rick by incorrectly naming garlic as a component in the lobster sauce and as usual, he's less than pleased to have lost yet another Quickfire: "I was completely pissed. How the hell you make lobster sauce without garlic?" It's beginning to look like Susur will make it to the Finals without having won a single Quickfire!

Update 245: Foggy Friday today. JoJo ran last night at Presque Isle. She did not perform like we had hoped and the report we got was that she was not blowing a bit after the race. Tim is not sure why she did not do well but she will return today and will be checked out thoroughly. I tried out the new pony today. His name is Strike(although I keep calling him Spike). He looks a lot like Luke but is just a bit bigger. Strike and Luke have become fast buddys in the paddock and they have everyone doing a double take. They scratch each others back and seem to enjoy each others company. We are hoping that Luke will teach him a few things. Abbey seems to enjoy him and has taken to the pony with flying colors. Triumphant also enjoyed a bit of company coming home from the track in the fog. With a little work we hope Strike will be rock solid like Luke. He sure has big shoes to fill. I believe the next runner is going to be Tap Softly next week. King Congaree is back and is gallopping. Gelding him has settled him just a bit and hopefully he will return to good form. Ms MVP marched to the track this morning in the fog, and she went like a trouper. She always gives 100 percent. Rose to Riches has had a easier week. Her shins have gotten a little touchy so Tim backed off of her a little this week. She is so happy to do anything you ask. What a joy to work with. Anyway, enough for now.
