The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) published its Sustainable Seafood Supermarket Survey yesterday, rating the Co-op top in cutting out all “overfished” species.

Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose also performed strongly. However, seven out of 15 major supermarkets did not respond to the study. These included Aldi, Booths, Budgens, Farmfoods, Lidl, Netto and Spar.
